Sian and Julian

After many years of solo dancing to Soul, R&B and Jazz, Julian began partner dancing at a Salsa club.

It wasn't too long before he was dancing at an international level including performances at the British Salsa congress and the famous Tower ballroom in Blackpool.

Sian, in the meantime had developed from her Northern Soul roots and had also become an excellent Salsa dancer. So as all fairy tales will tell you it wasn't long before Sian and Julian met, fell in love, and got married.

Leaving Salsa behind and looking for new challenges they discovered Lindy Hop together after Sian expressed a desire to learn 'that dance from the GAP advert'.

'That dance' turned out to be Lindy Hop and so for the last six years Sian and Julian have been studying, practicing, performing and teaching Lindy Hop at every opportunity.

They have honed their craft through tuition from the very best international Lindy Hop teachers the world has to offer.

Their successes include a significant contribution to the meteoric rise of the Manchester Lindy Hop scene through their hard work as founding members of 'Manchester Lindy', a not for profit organisation offering Lindy Hop taster lessons and social dancing to beginners and improvers, (see links page for more details).

Sian and Julian have now chosen to take things to the next level and 'Pure Lindy' is the exciting result.
